Volunteer with IICF

Description

We are inviting volunteers to write encouragement letters to human trafficking survivors. We will provide a video to give direction relative to what might be the most encouraging sentiments for a survivor. These hand-written or typed and printed letters would be mailed to our office and we will distribute them to survivors through our team of professional advocates. We believe these letters can supplement the encouragement we give them daily and help them understand that there are good people in the world rooting for them, beyond just the people they have encountered to date, which often times are limited to an abusive parent, manipulative trafficker, and sex buyer. We hope these uplifting notes will underpin the survivors' own will to continue fighting for their freedom, their justice, and their enrichment, as most of the time, it isn't as simple as walking away after years of trauma and emotional abuse.
