We’ll protect the endangered Tiburon mariposa lily by removing invasive French broom to help restore native grassland that make Ring Mountain special. Lend your organizational talents to the Marin County Employee Arts & Crafts Fair. You enjoy events and have experience in project management, event coordination, promotion, and/or marketing. The 2026 pop-up fair is scheduled for Wednesday & Thursday, November 18 & 19, at the Marin Civic Center. It is open to the public.Hours: About 2 a week on a mutually agreeable schedule. Staff provides orientation and support. This upbeat event was founded by employees in 2000 to showcase staff creativity. The fair features live music, fine art, and beautiful handcrafted goods by members of the county workforce participating on their own time.

Are you a fluent English speaker who would like to make a positive impact in people's lives? Tutors encourage adult participants as they practice and gain confidence in their spoken-language skills. Conversation-based sessions take place: * Mondays 10:00-11:30 a.m. (in English) at the Novato Library* Thursdays 8:30-10:00 a.m. (in English) at the Hamilton School Library. No experience needed, just a willingness to communicate. Staff orients and supports volunteers.
