Help insure that future generations will continue to be inspired by the natural world by volunteering for the Crabtree Nature Center Earth Day Nature Play event. Assist with Greeting, Kids Crafts (no artistic ability needed) and Water Color Painting.

Requirements

- Assist Nature Center staff in leading crafts for children (no artistic ability required!), greet visitors and help with watercolor painting. Assignments will vary based on interest and skill

- A staff member will contact you the week before the event to plan your schedule and discuss your role

- Volunteers ages 16 & 17 must have a signed waiver to volunteer at this event

- Online registration and criminal background check required

Herbicide Volunteers are needed to assist Landscape Maintenance staff with beautifying our public facilities. Both Operators and Applicators are welcome!

*April 8-12 are ideal workdays; volunteer will schedule and work with FPCC Landscape Maintenance staff; flexibility available for Monday thru Friday workdays. No weekends.
*Must hold a current IL Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator License
*Must follow all District rules, regulations and policies
*Strong plant ID skills needed
*All PPE and equipment will be provided by FPCC
