In beautiful Powhatan County along the James River sits Powhatan State Park, one of Virginia's newest state parks.   This park offers picnicking, fishing, hiking, biking and educational programs.  Powhatan is home to one of Virginias most diverse habitats for flora and fauna.  The Camp Host will help with maintaining the River Bend Campground's 29 sites and bath house. The campground is open from March-November; Camp Host assignments will be a minimum of 30 days and maximum of 60 days.  Water, electric 50 amp and 30amp and sewer hookups are available.  Camp Host site length is 60 feet. Volunteer Host hours & duties vary based on park needs. Host will be trained upon arrival at the campground by the park's on-site Host Coordinator. The Host Coordinator will act as the volunteer's supervisor and main point of contact with the park during the time of service.
