Almonte Homework Help Tutors  Almonte Library

Description

Almonte is seeking volunteers (13 and older) to tutor K-6 grade studentswith their homework in various school subjects. Tutors will show up on alternating Wednesdsays and Tuesdays each month from 5:00-7:00 pm and help students on a first come, first serve basis. Tutors may also help elementary school students with Reading on Saturdays from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.

Additional Info: Alternating Wednesdays & Tuesdays from September 5, 2018 - May 1, 2019
5:00-7:00 pm.
Saturdays Starting September 1, 2018.

Calling all therapy dogs! Come to the Almonte Library (with your humans) on Monday nights and help kids bone up on their reading skills. We promise lots of attention and belly rubs as you provide an encouraging, non-judgmental audience for young readers.

Additional Info: Must be Certified. Programs are on Monday evenings. Volunteers should be available from 7-8pm

Description

Additional Info: Volunteers are needed from 4:30pm -6 pm on Tuesdays. Great way to get your school service hours!

Description

If you enjoy reading to and listening to children read, this would be a great fit for you! The Metropolitan Library System is launching a Come Read with Me program at the Cesar Chavez Boys & Girls Club for PreK-6th graders. It will take place on Thursdays from 4:15-5:45 at 600 SE Grand Blvd., Oklahoma City, 73129.

Description:Help children improve their reading! Children, grades 1st through 5th grade, will read one-on-one with a teen or adult volunteer, followed by playing a phonics or word game. Parents will pre-register their child for a 30-minute session: 5:30; 6:00; or 6:30 p.m. The sessions will be the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from January 8, 2019 to May 14, 2019. A volunteer could possibly work with 3 children each night. Minimum volunteer age is 13.
