Reading Buddies Program / Library

Library

Help make reading fun for children as a Reading Buddy. The Marin County Free Library seeks adults and teens for the Reading Buddies program, which pairs volunteer tutors with students in grades K-5 to build literacy skills and develop a love of reading.

How it Works:
* Volunteers receive 3 hours of training and make a minimum 4-month commitment.
* Volunteers commit to at least one shift every Tuesday from either 4 to 6 pm (South Novato Library) or 3:30 to 4:30 pm (Marin City Library)
* Tutoring sessions last 30 minutes (one-on-one) and are virtual
* All volunteers must get a background check as part of registration

Deadline to apply for Fall session: FRIDAY, September 10.
