Volunteer. Give. Make an Impact!
The insurance industry is dedicated to assisting people in times of need. As such, the industry is uniquely suited to be a philanthropic leader, adapting its skill-set to charitable endeavors. One important way we do this is through volunteering in our local communities.
IICF offers year-round volunteering, both virtual and in-person, for greater community involvement and impact. By partnering with national and local nonprofit organizations, IICF volunteers are able to give back to the communities where they live and work in consistent and meaningful ways.
Since 1998 IICF has also hosted its annual Week of Giving, the largest ongoing volunteer initiative in the insurance industry. Through eight days of volunteer projects and service, the IICF Week of Giving (October 10 - 17) is a culmination of community volunteerism throughout the year by the insurance industry.
With the COVID-19 pandemic necessitating the cancellation of many in-person / community volunteer projects this year, there remain many other ways to make an impact in the communities where we live and work - safely and creatively through IICF. While volunteerism may look a little different during this time, there are still ways to give back to your community during the COVID-19 pandemic. IICF has compiled a list of Ways to Serve the Community Remotely. If you are a nonprofit and have volunteer opportunities to add to this list, please contact Kelly at khartweg@iicf.com.
When volunteering, please be certain to follow all local and related health and safety guidelines.
