Volunteer at Seven Bends State Park!
Join Virginia State Parks and the Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River in jump-starting and maintaining one of the Commonwealth's natural treasures, Seven Bends State Park.
Volunteers can make a massive difference at this stage in the Park's development. Donate your service to trail construction & maintenance, groundskeeping and miscellaneous duties.
Are you a Master Naturalist? Come help us take a natural inventory of the park lands!
Please contact Concha Mendoza with the Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River to begin. See the "Contact Person" tab below for details. Thank you!
"Seven Bends State Park on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River at Woodstock, Virginia is now becoming a reality. The 1,066 acre park land was dedicated in 2005, but little has changed on the land. Now the Park, which includes about 4 miles of frontage on the North Fork, is set to receive $2.24 million in funding for fiscal year 2016 in the recent General Assembly budget. While it will be many more years before significant Park facilities are built, we are pleased to see this progress which brings it one step closer to public use in the future."
Background checks are required for Virginia State Parks volunteers to include a criminal history record check. One time and special event volunteers may be excluded.
