What if I want to volunteer just once?
Members of many organizations volunteer at Texas Children's Hospital. Because of the flexibility of the group volunteer program, some organizations volunteer only once, while others come once a year and still others serve every month.
Patients look forward to the many special events organized by volunteers from universities, churches, retirement and nursing homes, corporations and professional societies. Some employees of corporations and members of organizations fill a weekly volunteer placement, with group members rotating their assignments.
We are very fortunateand have a number of groups who want to come out and volunteer at Texas Children's especially during certain times of a year. Please consider visiting the Hospital throughout the year by hosting a April Showers Bring May Flowers party, a Christmas in July toy drive, or a Back to School Bash.
Unique opportunities for one time visitors exist at each of our locations: Main Campus,West Campus and the Pavilion for Women. All visits must be scheduled in advance so we can ensure we have the proper support necessary to ensure your visit is a fun and enjoyable one for your group and our patients.
